Although it breaks our hearts a little, we’ve put the Filter House on the market. Being a couple of traveling freelancers with a babe on the way, we aren’t able to commit to its renovation, so we’re seeing if some nice people want to adopt the Filter House.
Looking through this blog for the first time in a long time, I realize I really miss upstate NY. It’s beautiful!

Since we’re burning wood for heat (up the mountain, the filter house has no heat), we’ve been driving the truck in the snow and chucking as much wood as we could.

Since it’s more hospitable than the filter house at this point, and it’s available, we’re borrowing a house in the woods from my mom and her partner. Autumn is a misty, spooky, but pretty time up here.

Andes is probably the poshest town in Delaware County. The enjoyable Andes Hotel’s where we recently shared the front porch with a biker gang for some rocking chairs and margaritas.

The Filter House is across the street from the East Brook. A bit shallow for swimming, it’s incredible for wading, sitting and laying down, and picture-taking on a hot day. This weekend, we alternated gardening in the sun with dips in the East Brook.
